Judge affirmed Cole’s arguments to uphold Paris police officer discipline decision
Bourbon Circuit Court Judge Rob Johnson found in favor of the City of Paris and its Board of Commissioners in their decision to impose various amounts of discipline, which was based upon charges citing several police policy violations which was filed by the Police Chief citing several police policy violations.
The City of Paris was represented by Charles Cole, and this statutory appeal was one of several favorable decisions involving the municipal clients of Mr. Cole under the recently amended Kentucky Revised Statute 15.520 (which is commonly known as Kentucky’s Police Officer’s Bill of Rights). The officers to this statutory appeal have 30 days from the date of decision to further appeal this matter to the Kentucky Court of Appeals.
