Maddie Loeffler practices in the firm’s Healthcare Law and Medical Malpractice Defense practice group. She works on insurance defense litigation and medical malpractice defense, including hospital, clinic and physician practices, and public entities including correctional institutions that provide healthcare services.
Prior to attending law school, Maddie studied psychology and interned with the Jesse G. Harris, Jr. Psychological Services Center in Lexington. Her experience includes clerkships at the Cook County State’s Attorney – Civil Actions Bureau in Chicago, as well as at Sturgill Turner.
During her legal education she served as president of Street Law, teaching legal rights to high school students, as site supervisor for the VITA Tax Clinic, and as writing chair for the Moot Court Board, and as a research assistant for University of Kentucky Professor Joshua Douglas, specializing in constitutional and election law and civil procedure.
