Katie’s practice focuses on civil litigation and insurance defense in the firm’s Torts and Insurance practice group. Her experience spans a wide variety of cases, including insurance defense, personal injury, premises liability, and more. Prior to joining Sturgill Turner, she worked in private practice in a regional defense firm, and had prosecuted more than five hundred felony cases as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Fayette County. She is a contributing author to Kentucky Instructions to Juries (Criminal).
After her graduation from Centre College with degrees in government and Spanish, Katie spent a year as an AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteer working for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), an organization which serves to represent abused and neglected children in the court system. She is a member of the Leadership Lexington Class of 2022-23.
