Emily Pence practices in the firm’s Torts & Insurance practice group. She brings a comprehensive legal background including wills and estates work, family law, criminal prosecution, and civil litigation. She is admitted to practice law in Kentucky and Tennessee.

Emily has been involved in the legal profession since high school, serving as an intern and legal assistant for the Clinton (Ky.) County Attorney, and two other attorneys in her hometown of Albany, Ky. During law school, she served as a law clerk for Chief Regional Circuit Judge Jeffrey Burdette in Somerset and Regional Circuit Judge Thomas Wingate in Frankfort. She served as an extern in the Office of the Fayette Commonwealth's Attorney, where she obtained a limited practice license and both independently wrote pleadings and successfully argued in a suppression hearing. She has gained experience in insurance law as a clerk for two law firms in Lexington.

Emily is also an accomplished pianist and singer. She taught piano in the University of Kentucky Piano Program while in college and law school, served as church pianist in her hometown, and is a four-year member of the selective performance group, the Lexington Singers.
